Why is SMS redundancy grayed out in the OnPage console ?


The SMS is grayed because too many people were depending on SMS for a timely alert, and we felt we couldn't guarantee delivery at all, let alone timely delivery. You can get around it on a per user basis using the email field. Simply google the SMS relay address for the carrier of the user's phone. Then use the user's mobile number before the @ symbol and whatever suffix the carries requires for after.

 

So, mobile number 1234567890 on att would get an SMS if I sent it to 1234567890@mms.att.net
